Description
Hardcast AFT-701 (3″ x 50′) is a heavy-duty, aluminum-backed, butyl-based rolled sealant tape for HVAC & roofing, offering immediate, aggressive, leak-proof sealing on contact, superior adhesion to metal/ducts, and excellent weather/moisture resistance for durable, fast, indoor/outdoor applications.
Key Features & Description:
- Material: Gray, modified butyl rubber adhesive on a silver aluminum foil backing.
- Type: Pressure-sensitive, rolled mastic/sealant tape, often called “caulk tape”.
- Application: Sealing duct joints (sheet metal, flex, board), roofing hips/ridges, and general flashing.
- Adhesion: Instant tack with a full bond in 24 hours, providing a strong, water-resistant grip.
